How often have you heard that if something ain’t broke, don’t fix it? Many will say it’s mad to change something that clearly needs no correction. Especially when we’re talking about the most awarded gin brand since 2004. A brand that, by the hand of its founder, shook up the gin establishment 22 years ago, forerunning the renaissance of premium gins since then.
And it’s precisely because of our admiration and devotion for our founder's spirit, who never missed the opportunity to inject additional madness to reach new heights of genius, that we dared to give the brand’s flagship reference a little makeover.
The changes are subtle, but the result is a more premium, elegant and stunning new look for Martin Miller's Original Gin in its iconic tall bottle.
Now the bottle’s transparency, symbolizing pure Icelandic water, is rippled with waves that remind us of the gin’s dual distillation.
We have given the labels a more striking blue proudly showing off the brand's redesigned logo and England-Iceland heritage since 1999.
Finally, we crowned the neck with a glorious new brand seal.
One thing that was never going to change was the England-Iceland map reminding us of the Martin Miller's Gin unique dual origin, so we’ve screen-printed it once again on the back of the bottle turning the bottle itself and the gin into a magnifying glass.
Far from wanting to reinvent the wheel, we felt the need for evolution, not revolution. We are delighted with our delicate fine-tuning, the understated reworking of our iconic bottle, and invite you to ponder whether we should, at least occasionally, judge a book by its cover.
